The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested four alleged individuals of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) from Panvel within the Raigad district for containing meetings for the growth of organisational committees and appointment of office bearers to update functionaries held closing month.
An officer stated the neighborhood unit secretary of the banned outfit and other members from Panvel organised the assembly on Wednesday. “The ATS were given particular statistics…After verifying the info, the agency carried out a raid and brought the four to the nearby ATS office for inquiry. Once their role have become clear, a case was registered against them and that they were arrested,” the officer said, asking for anonymity.
Offices and premises of humans related to PFI have been raided and over 100 participants of the company were arrested earlier than the government final month banned it and its affiliates for five years. The authorities has accused PFI of involvement in terrorism. The PFI introduced its dissolution after the ban become imposed and asked its participants to stop their activities.
