According to API Datta Bhosle from Mankhurd police station, Jaybhay had stopped a truck travelling on the north sure street of the limited-access highway and become talking to the motive force whilst an autorickshaw overtook the truck and halted near Jaybhay.

In his announcement to the police, Jaybhay stated there had been humans sitting on the automobile motive force’s seat who appeared to be drunk. As Jaybhay turned toward the driver, Samsher Alam, sitting next to him, got down from the rickshaw and began abusing Jaybhay.

“Alam started out screaming about pointless e-challans issued by means of site visitors police and verbally abused me for fining drivers. He even spoke unwell of the traffic police department,” stated Jaybhay, who became admitted to Rajawadi health facility, after the incident.

Bhosle said that when Jaybhay attempted to respond, the accused thrashed and slapped him. Alam, who is also a rickshaw driver, then ripped off his shoulder badge earlier than pushing him to the floor with a bleeding nostril.

When Jaybhay raised an alarm, his colleagues who had been at a distance, rushed in the direction of him. Alam then ran far from the spot, while the auto driving force fled with the car.

As Alam reached a distance of 500 meters toward PMGP, locals of the vicinity caught him. Traffic policemen then called up Mankhurd police and exceeded him over for similarly action.

“We at the moment are tracing the autorickshaw driver as we suspect he changed into riding below the impact of alcohol as properly,” said Bhosle. “Alam had been using recklessly and had received greater than 30 e-challans within the beyond years. He had some unpaid e-challans as well and had received several reminders. This became the motive of his anger towards site visitors police officers,” stated Bhosle.
