New year, new FC opportunity. Dimitrios Limnios, a Greek professional player for Cologne (24/since 2020 at FC), hopes to convince everyone of this in 2023.
The national player returned to Geißbockheim at the end of the year, six months after suffering a cruciate ligament rupture (according to BILD), has been undergoing rehabilitation exercises ever since, and anticipates being able to rejoin the team in at least six weeks.
Limnios: “I’m at 90% and anticipate being prepared by the end of January or the start of February. When I’m fully recovered, the coach will decide if and when I can continue to play this season.”
Limnios assaults He continued to struggle at FC in the summer of 2021 and was loaned to Enschede, but he now has hope for the future in Cologne under manager Steffen Baumgart (50).
I was mentally damaged by the injury.
“My first visit here was challenging. I then had a successful year in Enschede and was even able to assist the team in advancing to Europe. The subsequent injury left me mentally broken. That would be too much for me to bear. I’m here today to try again, though. I wish to join FC and play for this team.
In the summer, Baumgart and the sports director Christian Keller (43) must determine if Cologne is truly where he wants to spend the rest of his life. The deal with Limnios FC expires in 2024. Following his transfer from Salonika in 2020, the winger only made 13 games at Cologne and failed to make an impression.
