The year 2022 was marked by a number of achievements in army building, heroic service of soldiers and officers, unceasing efforts to preserve the fragile peace, as well as popular efforts to keep the country standing and invincible, said the New Year message of the Minister of Defense of Armenia.
“2022 was a year of many trials and difficulties for the Armed Forces. In September, the units of the armed forces resolutely faced the Azerbaijani military aggression. And now, we welcome Taremut with a conflicting sense of pain and pride,” says Suren Papikyan.
“The simple realization that the army is the first guarantor of the security of our country and the peaceful existence of our people forces us to make the process of building the army more efficient, to implement targeted reforms, to make military service more attractive and profitable, to create a flexible and combat-capable army suitable for the 21st century” , – declared the minister, pointing to the two programs, which, he believes, will increase the flow of human resources to the Armed Forces, will bring significant qualitative changes. The first is the program to provide housing for graduates of military educational institutions, the second is the “Defender of the Homeland” program.
Within the scope of 2022, Papikyan emphasized the furnishing of the front line and the works carried out in the direction of replenishment of weapons.
“I can’t say that we are entering the year 2023 having solved all the problems and overcome all the difficulties, but the unceasing dedication and hard work, the joining of all our forces and loyalty to the idea of a powerful and protected motherland will enable us to walk firmly and firmly in the New Year and solve our problems. the vital problems faced, to face the most serious challenges”, the Minister of Defense emphasizes, wishing for a year of national solidarity and united work.
“Let 2023 be a lossless year for all of us. May our soldier sons keep the borders of the Motherland intact, and may they return home from the army safe and sound. I wish sunshine and happiness to all your families. And I assure you that we are the master of our destiny, we will fight our future.
Long live Armenia, glory to the Armenian Army,” said Suren Papikyan’s message.
