
Manufacturers of fast charging devices are particularly affected by the introduction of electric trucks and trucks to the market, says Kempower.
Electric cars Kempower, a Finnish company that manufactures fast charging devices, says that it is investigating options for expanding its production capacity in Europe.
According to the company, the goal is for the new capacity to be operational by the end of 2025.
Managing director Tomi Ristimäki according to Kempower has not yet decided where in Europe production would be expanded. Expanding production in Finland is also among the options.
“We have options on the table, and we are studying them,” says Ristimäki.
For now, Kempower does not say how large a production increase the company is planning in Europe.

“It will greatly increase the market potential in Europe.”
In addition, Kempower continues to establish operations in the United States. The company said last summer that it aims to start operations in the United States by the end of 2023.
With Kempower currently has two factories in Lahti with a total of almost 14,000 square meters of production, laboratory and office space.
The company’s turnover in January-September last year was 65.8 million euros. The growth has been fast, as the turnover was 19.0 million euros at the same time last year.
Kempower had more than 300 employees at the end of September.
