“Canada condemns Putin’s irresponsible escalation of the struggle, his partial navy mobilization, his nuclear threats, in addition to Russia’s rushed referendums to try to annex elements of Ukraine are unacceptable,” Trudeau instructed journalists in New York, where he’s attending the United Nations General Assembly.
“Putin’s conduct most effective goes to reveal that his invasion is failing,” Trudeau said.
In a televised deal with earlier on Wednesday, Putin introduced Russia’s first wartime mobilization considering World War Two and plans to annex parts of Ukraine. He additionally threatened to apply nuclear guns to defend Russia, asserting: “It’s no longer a bluff”.

Trudeau said Putin’s conscription order became “a step closer to admitting what he has no longer desired to confess to Russians … An example of factors no longer going to his plan.”
Moscow calls its moves in Ukraine a “special army operation” to “disarm” its neighbor and root out dangerous nationalists. The West says it’s miles a land snatch and an try and reconquer a rustic that broke freed from Moscow’s rule with the destroy-up of the Soviet Union in 1991.
