The rumors about establishing an Azerbaijani base in the corridor connecting Artsakh with Armenia are false, the National Security Service of Artsakh reports.
“Today, the interview of Andrey Volkov, the head of the Russian peacekeeping troops in Artsakh, was spread through the mass media and social networks, based on which it was concluded that an Azerbaijani checkpoint will be installed in the corridor connecting Artsakh with Armenia,” the message said.
Stepanakert informs that a discussion on the issue was organized by A. with Volkov, during which “the latter announced that there will be no base in the corridor, it will not be controlled by Azerbaijanis and there will be no Azerbaijanis in the places where peacekeepers are stationed in the corridor”
According to the NSS of Artsakh, according to Volkov, it is only planned to install technical control devices to facilitate the work of peacekeepers.
Major General Andrey Volkov announced in an interview broadcast on Azerbaijan’s public television today that “a mini-customs checkpoint equipped with special equipment will be installed on the road connecting Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia.” He noted that such an agreement was reached as a result of negotiations between the Russian and Azerbaijani sides.
