The weather gods have not been kind to downhill skiers this winter. Six races would have been planned so far, but after cancellations in Zermatt, Lake Louise and on Friday in Beaver Creek, only two downhills could be held.

While the two Zermatt races were canceled without replacement, at least one downhill run could now be “saved”. Val Gardena is taking over a race, which is why two downhill runs (Thursday, Saturday) and a Super-G will take place on the famous Saslong in the coming week.
